Swamiji, it is said “Even a particle cannot move without His presence. He is the force behind every- thing!” If this is so, is God not the reason behind all human frailties? Why then should man be punished?

If a mechanical fault results in the failure of an electric fan or light, electricity cannot be blamed. It has to be repaired. In the same way Man is an instrument that functions through the Divine Power, where it is not possible to find out this power and punish Him for the human errors.
Only the instrument that is the result of a transformation of the Divine Power can be corrected. Imprints are formed in the genetic centre as a consequence of the actions and they reflect again and again as thoughts, leading to a repetition of the same actions.
The process undertaken by the Consciousness to correct this is called as punishment.
Punishment imposed on any individual is an act under the laws designed by thinkers to set right anything done contradictory to the laws of Nature or where an action can result in pain or suffering to self or the others
